Prosper Obum Anuforoh is an award-winning writer, poet and science communicator. He won the Targa Alut award at the 2019 Castello di Duino International Poetry Prize. His short story, Obiageli, was also shortlisted for 2019 Gerald Kraak Short Story Prize and published in Heart of the Matter, the prize anthology, which was a finalist at the Lambda Literary Prize. 

 

Prosper holds a degree in biochemistry with experience in computational biology. He is currently invested in researches that apply machine learning to bioinformatics and computer-aided drug design and development. His passion for science and creative writing led to his foray into science communication

Tyra studies Science Communication & Bionics.

She loves learning about science

and talking about it even more.

She has previously been a Gallery Assistant at an Arts & Science Gallery

in Berlin, where she enjoyed her passion in the intersection between art and science. 

She'll be pursuing a Masters in Philosphy in Science.

Barlow has a degree in Business Consultancy and is currently pursuing a Masters degree in Management and Leadership in Vienna, Austria.

She has previously contributed to Squirrel News. In her freetime, she loves writing and listening to music.

 

Being inquisitive by nature, she hopes to contribute to the narrative of Science in an African context.

 Jonathan majored in Earth Sciences at Dalhouise University in Canada with the long term goal of becoming a Professional Geologist.

 

He loves science and aside from his affinity to rocks, he loves to debate and discuss ways to make science more accessible to the general public.

Augustine studied biochemistry and developed interest in data science and machine learning. Skills he intends to apply in computational biochemistry

Damilare is a software developer, singer and teacher who believes learning should be fun. ​

Damilare earned his first degree in Computer Science from Lagos State University and is currently finishing his Masters’ degree in Computer Science from University of Lagos.

He is currently a freelance software developer who specializes in developing websites and web applications. He is a machine learning enthusiast and a learner who seeks to impact people via his skills and knowledge. If he is not busy with a web project, he is either teaching or singing.

Henry is a Signal and Telecommunications Engineer with a strong expertise in IT Systems. His project on the Modelling of Breathing Patterns and Control of a Radiotherapy Phantom (MAESTRO) was aimed to ensure adequate radiation delivery for the treatment of cancer. He also has an interest in renewable energy and participated in the development of a Simulation Model of Tidal Current Turbine for Electricity Generation in Nigeria (IEEE).

Henry holds a B.Eng degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering and an M.Sc. in Control Systems Engineering. He currently invests in renewable energy research that can provide a carbon-free solution to the world's increasing appetite for energy, control of smart grid systems and grid optimization. His interest in the application of control in various engineering fields stems from his passion for MATLAB design modelling of complex algorithms.
